Under the general direction of the Chief, Human Resources Bureau (HRB) (CEA, Level A), the Staff Services Manager (SSM) III serves as the Branch Manager and is responsible for administering and managing the programs within the Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development Branch (TAODB). This Branch includes the Talent Acquisition Section (hiring and recruitment and classification and pay), Talent Acquisition and Executive Recruitment Section (CEA/Exempt appointments, hiring and recruitment, outreach and exams) and the Outreach, Enrichment and Engagement Section (training and workforce planning). The incumbent is responsible for developing department-wide personnel policy, participating in HR special projects, and providing direct technical consultation to management on a wide variety of personnel issues including hiring and recruitment, exams, training and employee development and mentoring.
